~ 2021 SOLO Wilderness Medicine Certification Courses ~

We are proud to serve as the sponsor and instructional provider of SOLO Wilderness Medicine courses in Northern VermontWe are authorized by SOLO to offer wilderness medicine courses 
at all levels. Enrollments in all courses are currently limited 
to 12 students.

SOLO First Aid for Hiking & Biking individuals or groups $75 per person - tuition only
Start the spring, summer, and fall seasons right with a SOLO first aid course. This 6-hour course is specifically designed to provide participants with the skills to safely assess and provide temporary treatment of common outdoor injuries until EMS arrives. This a perfect course for mountain bikers, road cyclists, and other day outdoor travelers who are recreating in places where ambulance response is readily available but would like that first level of safety training. CPR may be added to this course for an additional $25 per person. Courses dates to be scheduled for June, July, August, and September!

SOLO Wilderness First Aid & CPR - $195 per person - tuition only
The two-day Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course is SOLO's most popular creating a solid foundation in the basics of backcountry medical care. Initially offered in 1975, this course was the first of its kind in the United States, and it is the curriculum upon which all other backcountry medicine courses are based. SOLO CPR certification is included as a part of all WFA courses. This is a great course for mountain bikers, hikers, climbers, backpackers, backcountry skiers and other outdoor enthusiasts who venture out for day and weekend trips. Only current SOLO WFR graduates may use the SOLO WFA to recertify a current WFR certification.

SOLO Wilderness First Responder. $595 per person - tuition only
This 8-day course is the recognized industry standard for those who work as backcountry trip leaders, camp counselors, mountain guides, river guides, and ski patrollers. SOLO CPR certification included.

Introduction to Rock Climbing

This one-day course is designed to introduce the skills associated with beginning rock climbing. During the beginning of the day, you will learn about the equipment and techniques used in rock climbing. The majority of the day will be devoted to the practical application of climbing skills for movement over moderately angled rock terrain. All technical equipment will be provided.
